  • Carl Edwards--Whaddaya Think?

Among the four Chase contenders I was pulling for Carl Edwards.

He was up on the wheel for most of the race, and I thought he was going to be the Champion.

But after that late caution, I think he could have let the 22 under him, held him down in one and two, and beat him down the backstretch.

Instead, he got into a "this is the race" mentality and lost a losing battle to Logano.

    Any thoughts...?

Hard to be a Monday Morning Quarter Back....

Hard to be a Monday Morning Quarter Back. I know when we would have any of the NASCAR Driver drive in the FASTRUCK Series (as guest drivers) they are so much better then the level our driver mastery of our Sport. That it's hard to say from the Drivers seat what should they have done. It's all in how the cards fall during the 400 hundred miles of changing conditions. God we have a GREAT SPORT!!!! Just my two cents.

C'mon now. Joey was only under him about a headlight bucket's worth, and he could have lifted and dropped in behind him.

My guess is that he too thought "This is for all the marbles" as opposed to "I will be less competitive and lose track position after this".

Jimmie is not my favorite, but the best man won yesterday, imo.

            Old school

Carl and Joey both did exactly what each was supposed to be doing. No faults there either way. They weren't battling for 25th there was a race and championship at stake and they both held up their end of the bargain. But I think the result of it was a championship offered up on a platter for the new seven time.Joey's young he will have other chances Carl may or may not.Nothing but a racing deal there is no real blame IMO but Jimmy WAS the major benefactor.Did anybody even notice Patrick Staropoli had a start in the Truck race Friday?
