  • Citrus County does the right thing

Just saw an announcement that Citrus County Speedway and the Ray family have put the remaining $12,000 from the OWM purse into an interest bearing trust for Eddie's daughter.

Good for them - at this point that is the only thing that would seem right.

I think if you are gonna be a hard ass in tech (which aint a bad thing) you have to hit them prior to the race pretty hard too - so the drivers/owners dont spend more of their money to put on a free show for you.

Holy Sh*t...we racers can't be satisfied. We bitch because tracks don't enforce the rules, then when one does; we bitch! No wonder tracks are closing...who wants to put up with that!

I say kudos to any track that enforces the rules written in the book! THAT'S WHY THERE'S A RULE BOOK!

Agree, but why bother having a pre-tech then. Ride height and left % is always a 'thing', window opening has been checked on my car. It had a fat boy door setup and I modified it to all allow the 14" requirement without the door. I need to double check the right side window now though.

We told our officals for many years that there job was to get the cars right before the race. If you saw anything that was wrong deal with it before the race and it would not be so bad. when you don't do that and bait the racer then take there money after the race they will hate you for a long time.
Most of the time its a teq man feeding his own ego. Look how smart I am
When you are doing post teq you should be checking the rules that cant be checked in pre teq. Now if its not right you have a cheater and he will lose his money. If he is mad at the teq man for that one...O WELL..

Totally agree...pre-race tech isn't much more than heights (ride height, spoiler, etc) and weights. That's backwards for all the reasons Don mentioned. Plus a tech team will have much more time before the race to thoroughly inspect the cars. Let's face it, after a long day of standing in the heat, by the time the last couple races are over they want to get outta dodge as well.

Mr Nerone speaks the truth, tell em pre tech

...like he says tell em pre tech,
anything after is an ego trip,
In my opinion there's too many rules in modified,

keep the tires small and let em rip,

I mean the size of the window(really come on now)

big motor won't help when the tires are smaller, am i correct?

otherwise were in the super modified which are cool,

if your rich or your daddy's buying, or you got a sugar momma

any sugar mommas out there, I'm a clean cut guy and attentive)
