The Golden Gate Reunion was "Just the pure joy of seeing the memories live". I can't really tell you all that you missed. I can only say that this truly was a feeling of Friendship of Racers and Fans getting a taste of the past. When you walked up on the Hollow Grounds of one the cornerstone Speedways that made our sport a PASSION in so many. Gene Adler brought his Racing Roundup TV set and made the old oak trees shutter with memories (Gene show was on weekly and featured many of the people in our Sport. His Co-host would answer questions that was current about things going out in the Sport) of the best days in Tampa Bay Racing!!!! As you walked around you could see the Cars and the Stars, but there was so many people involved with keeping this time alive. There were tables of memories of the times. Check out their Facebook page Golden Gate Speedway and see just some of the displays on hand.
Thanks to Randy Alvarez, Linda Grimm, Gail Kelley, Gene Adler, Larry Tyler, and so many others...... With Golden Gate being gone the memories still live on. Please don't let our Sport DIE!!! Help keep our Speedways going!!! It will take all of us if we expect to go on. Just my 2 cents!
THANKS!!!
