  • Wheel Man Series Race Moved to Citrus County Speedway this Saturday

Lakeland, FL (October 3, 2016) Extensive city drainage issues at Showtime Speedway has caused the circle track to cancel racing for this weekend, which was set to host the Racecar Engineering Wheel Man Sportsman Series 50 lap feature event. The drag strip is not affected and will proceed as scheduled.
Thanks to Cameron Ray at Citrus County Speedway, they have agreed to pick up the race this Saturday that they had previously agreed to move to accommodate the drivers and teams competing in the Wheel Man Series. Everyone associated with the Series would like to thank Citrus County Speedway management and officials for their cooperation and assistance to provide the drivers and teams with the opportunity to race this weekend. We also want to thank Showtime Speedway and we will provide a reschedule date as soon as possible.
Registration for the 50 Lap, $1000 to Win race is underway, and while there is never an entry or slab fee for the Wheel Man Series, drivers and teams must register to be eligible for the Free Tire Give-Away, along with other contingency awards from motorsport vendors and industry related companies. To register, drivers must call Racecar Engineering at 800-882-7231 no later than Thursday, October 6th at 3pm.
The pit gates at Citrus County Speedway open Saturday at 2pm and practice gets underway at 2:30. Qualifying begins at 5:30 and racing will start promptly at 7pm.

Big thanks to the Ray family for stepping up and helping another track out. That's the cooperation Florida short track racing needs.

Yes, the Super Late Models and the Open Wheel Modifieds will still be racing this coming Saturday night along with the Race Car Engineering Wheel Man Sportsman Series.

It's going to be one fantastic night of racing for sure with three top flight divisions seeing action on the same night.
