I think it's just the promoters have the attitude of come to my track and see the results for yourself. And the hell with the rest!

C'mon now.
Robert Yoho & his show will be fine.
He gets good car count and will continue to do so even if he has to drive (again).
I have seen great racing there with two cars.

I was at Showtime on Saturday. The crowd was pretty sparse that night, but the racing was pretty good. I saw more passing and side by side racing than I have ever seen at that track. Bowman used the chrome horn to make the pass for the lead on the last lap of the Mod race, and he seemed to be itching for a fight afterwards on the front strech, resulting in his DQ.
The most pleasant surprise of the night was actually the "Street Warz" drag racing event held later in the evening (10PM to 2 AM). Yoho invited all the circle track fans to stay and watch the drag races for no extra charge. There were a LOT of young folks that showed up to race on the strip rather than out on the streets. Admission was only 10 bucks, and they were lined up for blocks to get in. I haven't seen that many teenagers and twenty somethings at a race track in eons. Yoho is definitely doing something right here. There was also a drifting competition going on at the same time on the oval track, which was fun to watch as well.Last edited by driver50x; 09-14-2016, 02:57 AM.

The promoter that can get something going on the oval with the types of cars these kids drag race and drift with will make a killing... Something needs to be done to update auto racing to the year 2016... Nearly every car racing at our local tracks would be eligible for an "antique" car license plate from the State of Florida if it were a street car...
