Here's what will be racing: Southern Pro-Am Truck Series - Super Stocks - Bombers - Vintage Race Cars - Pro Challenge...

Trucks will run 30 laps for $800 to win...

Super Stocks will race 30 laps for at least $400 to win - Right now we have $1600 in sponsorship money - The three sponsors we have now for this race that we need to thank are Manheim Auctions (Butch Herdegen) - David Gould (DWG Enterprises) and John Hodge (Space Coast Welding)... If we can get a couple more sponsors we will pay $500-600 to win and a good payout through the field - This will be an open competition event so that means you Citrus-Desoto-Auburndale drivers can run as well with your Camaros etc.

If we get enough Bombers, we'll split them into 4-cylinder and V-6/V-8 classes with heats and 20-lap features... Would like to have a nice payout here too but so far, no sponsors have come forward...

All Vintage Stock Cars-Modifieds can come and race heats and features no matter what club you are active with...

Pro Challenge will run a heat and 20-lap feature...

We are hoping to try something different as far as qualifying goes... Rather than the boring single car/truck qualifying we are going to run qualifying "dashes"... Here's how that works (Trucks and Super Stocks only):
Drivers will draw a number when signing in - Say, if we get 16 cars/trucks in the class (an arbitrary number but this is for example purposes), we will run 4 6-lap qualifying dashes... The drivers drawing the four lowest number pill will run the first dash and so on...
The winners of the 4 dashes will then draw for starting positions 1-4 - The second place finishers will draw for starting positions 5-8 and so on...
This should make things much more fun and interesting and PUT ON A BIGGER AND BETTER SHOW FOR THE FANS... Basically we are trying to think a bit outside the box and do something different for a change...

If you are interested in sponsoring ANYTHING please contact myself by e-mail only at announcerdave@usa.net or call Bobby Owens at 727-619-3125...

We need this show to be a success so we can build on it for a possible series of Sunday races this Winter, so make plans to come out and have fun either with a race team or as a spectator...

I like the idea of the six lap dashes

Kil Kare Speedway in Xenia Ohio used to run 6 lap helmet dashes years ago.Usually with the six fastest cars.It made a boring little helmet dash a real race when you had the six fastest running a couple extra laps over what was run at most the area tracks up there back then. Is that on a Sunday? I've only been there once. I might make the drive if it's on a Sunday.

Run your sprintcar in vintage. Tell them the driver is vintage, not the car.
