Check out this video we got on Saturday Night. Easily one of the craziest wrecks I have ever seen. Kudos to the track crew for doing things right and removing all the cars methodically to avoid further damage, or injury to drivers. All involved were okay and walked away with just a couple bruises!

THAT is why a catch fence needs to be a priority! Thank Goodness they were looking ahead and prepared.

It looked like they had a fire crew at the ready in case of a fuel spill as well. That was the part that would have me worried with car upside down like that for that long. Not to mention that being upside down for that long will give you a headache that wont quit!

That catch fence was brand new this year. The original chicken-wire fence that had been there since 1958 or so, definitely would not have held in that situation. The fire department there is also top notch. Anytime there is a crash, they roll. They are well prepared and well trained. I've seen them deal with some stuff over the years that I would fear at other tracks, with no issue.
