A pretty fair crowd turned out to see the races last evening, and the rain never got close, but the clouds did provide a nice break from the sun as it set behind the grandstands.
It was a relatively quiet evening with little controversy.
The Sprint Cars:
Thundered around the speedway almost unnaturally quickly. That is, after blasting by, before you knew it, feature winner David Steele was back, blasting by yet again.
The Boneman, Rex Hollinger, was there and in good spirits as usual, with no problems during the evening.
The Sportsman:
Had two features, won respectively by Bruce Bennett (his first for the Season) and Jason Vail. Patrick Thomas finished second in both events. Earl Beckner was out for the evening.
The Wrap Up:
Please join me with Prayers for Ms. Kim Brown, who is recovering from recent surgery. In spite of dealing with all that goes with that, Kim sent along best wishes to the competitors in her own special way (!). Get well soon, Kim.
