Old school, the first half ran pretty clean.Boyd sprinted out front with Winchell following. Meanwhile Dutilly was locked in his eighth place starting position trapped behind that pair as well as the Bigleys,Sergi,Fontaine and the white #64 that Winchell has driven many times.(I can't remember the boys name but he's from the north Miami area)Numerous incidents ensued during the last forty laps, one which was Billy Bigley abruptly pulling into the infield coming off turn four while running in third sending Fontaine, Dutilly and a couple others sliding through the infield grass on the front stretch to avoid running over each other. Winchell, Atwell,Fontaine, Dutilly, Bigley all were part of incidents that sent them to the tail throughout the event. Dutilly eventually worked his way up beside Boyd with the two banging each other for several laps especially coming down the front stretch. Dutilly got squeezed and dropped back to sixth which was where he ended up.I could have probably given better details last night when I first posted but the old phone battery wanted a drink of electricity. Boyd led almost the entire distance, save a couple laps and the first twelve starters were fast enough to keep everybody locked in step for most of the first half of the race. You missed a wild one last night.sigpic

race to the bottom
I must say I have not been there in a year or two, but not much has changed, In fact I think it has got worse. The only race I saw was the race to get to the bottom groove, the outside groove for what ever reason seemed non-existent Sat. night. Wreck after wreck, after re-start after re-start.

I have been there and seen strung out racing.
I have been there and loaded a car in the trailer with a jack under one corner.
Sometimes the guys get serious about being aggressive, and since I can remember this phenomenon has been exponentially more serious as the money invested in the car goes up.
I also like the cone rule.
Sounds like good, hard competition to me. Not to be argumentative, just my opinion.Last edited by OldSchool+; 08-15-2016, 03:12 PM.

CONE RULE IS THE MOST STUPID THING THE TRACKS HAVE TRIED,
Racers wake up the rule has caused more damage to your cars and more yellow flags to slow the events.
They are trying to get the racers to go outside and this just lets the slower cars that have been passed already some times more than once to get in the way of the faster cars and cause more wrecks when they try to get down.
Just start them straight up
WAKE UP
