Lakeland, FL (May 23, 2016) The much anticipated re-opening of Citrus County Speedway on July 16th just got even bigger as the track will host round 4 of the Racecar Engineering Wheel Man Series. In what might be one of the biggest crowds in the history of the track, fans will be treated to what has quickly become the most competitive series in the State.
Don’t miss the best Sportsman drivers in the state, including George Gorham, Jason Rendell, Sean Bass, Brooke Storer and others mix it up along with some new names to the series, including former Citrus County Speedway track champion Mike Bresnahan, for the prestigious Wheel Man trophy and the top prize of $1000 to Win.
The new owners of the speedway, William and Camron Ray, have been making extensive improvements to the 3/8th’s mile facility, the biggest being the repaving of the track itself. Other improvements include new bleachers, Victory Lane Café for fans on the grandstand side, and updated restrooms.
More contingency awards and prizes will be announced throughout the upcoming weeks leading to the opening night event. The staff and management of both Racecar Engineering and Citrus County Speedway look forward to treating drivers and fans to what will be a historic evening of racing excitement.
