  • Lookie what I found...Old coupe

Driving around yesterday paying bills, grocery shopping, etc., we drove past this auto repair place. All of a sudden, I spotted it - but wasn't quite sure if I REALLY saw what I thought I saw. Told my girlfriend, "Turn around! I gotta see if that's what I thought it was!" So she turned the truck around, and we pulled into the parking lot. Shore 'nuff, sitting in the repair area, on a trailer, was an old coupe-bodied dirt car. Upon first glance, it almost looked like an old Buzzie car. Closer inspection revealed that the car was narrowed considerably, and was an offset type chassis. It was pretty rusted out and beat to hell. We just happened to have the camera with us (we were also heading to Epcot last night). So here's a coupla pics.

The car was at a place in south Kissimmee, John Clay and Sons Auto Repair, off of south John Young Parkway (a little south of US192, heading toward Poinciana). Do any of you old fogies recognize this car at all?

Im not sure which one but I know one of the Clay's was driving a DAARA car last year I believe at OSW... My family and I have bought many tires from them over the years... they're good people!

Looks like a do-able roller for sure. Wonder which is older, the car or the trailer??

Jim, somebodys told kip about the drive overs. He ain't old enough to remember them.LOL! Jimmy that does look a lot like one of Buzzies old rides.
It looks like it could very easily be a DAARA ride.

John Clay has a real nice DAARA car that is an Orange #73 coupe. Maybe he is building a 2nd car?
