I have a wish list I would like to see come to fruition in 2008...odds are they won't, but here goes.....
Auburndale and CCMP put together a SLM series racing once a month at each track for the purse they paid out this year. $3000 to win - $400 to start. 100 lap races. Maybe they could put up a points fund, but not necessary.
Desoto and Citrus could do the same thing with each other?
Governors Cup CHampionship Weekend.
Friday Night would include Qualifying for Gov Cup, Goodyear and Modifieds along with Twin 20 lap qualifiers for the SSS, Trucks and Mini's. THen run the Goodyear 100 and the Modified 100. 260 Laps of racing.
Saturday Night would be 50 lappers for the SSS, Truck and Mini's and then the Gov Cup for 200. 350 laps of racing.
CHarge $50 for Two day pit pass. $30 for one day. CHarge $40 for two day grandstand pass. $25 for one day.
FASCAR - Combine the Fascar Sportsman and SSS classes under the SSS rules and bite the bullet and combine the Goodyear/LLM and the ASA cars under the ASA rules.
Brighthouse Series - Maybe a two headed series with the LLM and SLM racing 3 times each at OSW and NSS.
Payouts - It has to be possible to have the payouts for each class put into envelopes PRIOR to racing. WHen the line ups are put up you know how many cars are in each race. I understand travelling series but for the local classes it should be a no brainer.
Heat Races - DON'T HAVE ANY!!!! Add 5-10 laps to the features and INVERT the finishing order from the previous race. If the car was not there the previous week, they start behind the winner. ALso, add 20 extra points for winning a race. It should tighten up the points races with the inverted line ups. Pay a points fund worth racing for so more than two cars in each class will care.
IF any Karnacians have others to add...feel free
