    New Smyrna Mini Unofficial Recap

    >>The Sprint cars both looked and sounded awesome. I was not in a position to see it, but I believe they also had a close finish in the feature. Perhaps others can add...
    >The Boneman was there and the Team worked right up to the first heat solving a fuel injection problem. In the feature, battling a handling issue, Rex ran well down the straights and, as noted, finished 11th.

    >>Patrick Thomas was on a rail and patiently picked his way through traffic from a mid-pack starting position for another great American Auto Service Series win. Car owner Jim Harris (of Harris Oil & Storage) was on hand and is a happy man.
    >Congratulations to Daniel Conlin Jr., who is about to graduate high school.
Daniel drove a clean race and brought the car home in second place.

    >Kim Brown was on hand and in good spirits. Thank you for the results and best wishes regarding your continued good health, Kim.

The old farts mobile cheering group truly enjoyed the RACE!!!!

The old farts mobile cheering group loaded up at 3:00 at headed to the High Banks of New Smyrna. First time I have been back since 2004. Let me tell you the place was just as AWESOME as it ever was. From the pit gate, buying the best Ball Park hot dog I have ever eaten to the rest rooms everything was GREAT!!! The Staff had smiles on their faces and ready to make the day the BEST it could be. Sure was good to seeing some of the old friends from that side of the state (also great meeting new friends). Knowing that with Anderson's Little 500 only two weeks away it would not have all the Sprints that would of normally been there. But to see the Winged Devils put on a HELL-of-a SHOW was breath taking!!!! Congrats to all the Winners it was well worth the time and money to go. Can't wait to see and read about the action at Showtime and Auburnadale. Sure wish we could get the Schools on board. The Sports needs the Next Generation!!! Man we have a GREAT SPORT and need everyone to push the ball the same direction. Till next time be safe and be positive and support your local tracks!!!

Bobby, sorry we did not get time to catch up. My little team had a night-long thrash to get running properly. It turns out that I made a mistake on the fuel injection, and we didn't get going until feature time. Next...get the driver up to speed.

Many thanks to the SSSS and New Smyrna for hosting winged sprints!
