  • FASCAR tire question

It is my understanding that Hoosier will not be shipping anymore tires to FASCAR. I was told there were no 8 inch tires. I really can't repeat why I heard they won't ship anymore because it is hear say and don't know forsure if is true. Can someone get on here and please clear this up not only did FASCAR pick the worst time to change brands but now hearing might not even beable to get them.

this has gone 24hrs with no reply?

oh my God. you didn't really screw the pooch this bad, did you?

for Super Stocks and lower, this isn't really a problem as they could all run DOT tires if they had too. that's not going to work so hot for Sportsman and up, boys.

Hello, hello, anyone.................Sandy, Don, Mr Hart. If this is just an internet rumor then please clear it up.

This tire change hurts a lot of drivers. I know drivers will make sacrifices and do what they can to get the new tires but I also know of some that cant. I think anyone buying the new tires should get some kind of break. Whether it be free pit admission or a discount on the tires or a free hotdog. I believe that would be the only fair thing to do since alot of these drivers WERE (past tense) set for the year are now FORCED to buy new tires.

Don't look for an answer anytime soon.

next weekend is the next scheduled set of races. the weekend after that, Mods are scheduled at both tracks. if the racers don't get an answer "soon", then it well and truly will hit the fan.

Really how hard is it to get on here and answer a question? If it's a mix up and the tires will be here next week then just say it. I trying to find out the answer not only for myself but for others that need tires. I can see it now asking the sponsors for tire money and then going back and saying well we are changing tires but don't know when they well get them but we are changing and only have 3 weeks to use up what we got now.

              ok, here's what i 'know':
as of Saturday, the FASCAR tire truck was at Desoto and they were selling 8" Hoosier slicks for the Advance Pro Truck race. they have shipping stickers on them addressed to New Smyrna, so they're real honest to God, FASCAR compound tires, acquired legitimately.

these are not the same as the Desoto spec slicks.

a couple of truck tour drivers bought Desoto tires before the FASCAR tire truck showed up. they were told they'd be able to use the Desoto tires for two races and then they had to get the FASCAR compound.

if FASCAR feels the need to clarify anything instead of doing all this though the grape vine, they're more than welcome to join in.

Okay all of you rumor mill people...we DO have tires for all divisions. Spent all day Wednesday and Friday changing out peoples tires. They were on sell at Desoto and they are not the same that Desoto runs. We have #2045 for Late Models, F53 (slicks) for modified, trucks, sportsman and super stock and 13 Sport for Mini-Stock.

I know all of you love to complain, but there are actually stagger sizes and tires for you to choose from. If you have Goodyear tires that can make the next three races in the Southern Sportsman, you are more than able to run them.

Since Columbia was the only track to run this weekend, they ran on a combination of both, some decided to buy Hoosiers and some stayed on their Goodyear.

Write what you want, cause not a darn one of you know the truth about anything with the racetracks.

Have a great day and stay safe from the storms...

This is completely true for you who have never experienced the miracle called hoosier. You can dang near size up your tires for stagger before you even mount them. I can walk into a tire shed and get to with 1/2 inch of what I want for stagger before the tires even go on the wheels. Small air pressure adjustments can make up 1/2 inch of stagger easily. These tires also stretch very well.

Now that they have backed down from their 3 week plan. This is what they should have come up with in the first place. Work them in over the rest of the race year. And then in 09 they are the only tire that can be run. That's all the drivers seemed to be asking for.

Just curious. What if say your insurance company came in and said you have three weeks to find another company for your track! You have to find another one and it's going to cost you more. Would you complain about it? Would you have any questions for them? Or would you just say oky doky and try and find another company? Because I am sure that you wouldn't want to complain to any one right? Because you dont know a darn thing about insurance companies! Looks like you have the same pr. guy as that desoto owner!

I didn't repeat oh here what anyone had said and the reason was because it was rumors. I was asking a question to try and get a answer from someone from FASCAR and to you Sandy thankyou for clearing up what is going on.
