A Whole Lotta Racin' Goin' On At Volusia Speedway

Pack up the camper and start the Labor Day weekend out right at Volusia Speedway on Friday night. Take in the Open Practice for all divisions that will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Pit admission for practice is $15 and grandstand admission is free. Pit gate will open at 5:00 PM.

[Camping is free at VSP, but there are no hookups]

Relax with the family Saturday and attend the Labor Day Late Model Shootout on Saturday night. Late Models will compete to take home a $3000 first place paycheck. All Volusia Speedway Park divisions will be in attendance. This will be a non-points event for the Late Models, but all other divisions will be racing for the valuable end-of-the-season track points.

Racing begins at 7:30 PM on Saturday night. Pit gates open at 3:30 PM and grandstands open at 5:00 PM. Adult admission is $12. Drive-In Parking is $10. Admission for students ages 11 to 15 is $6. Kids 10 and under will be admitted free. Pit passes are $25. UMP DIRTcar Members pay $22 for pit entry.

I guess it could have been Williams. It was an Orange car, with no roof. I'm used to seeing Reb and Black on his cars though.

The 41 I have no idea... could be Varnadore. It was a Black car, very plain looking, with either White or Silver numbers... I didn't see any kind of sponsor decals or lettering at all.

Varnadore's is red & white. However, he did beat it up pretty bad at Volusia a few weeks ago. Looks like a great field, looking forward to it tonight.

Just add the practice list to this list cause most of the guys that practiced left there trailers eitherway....And im sure we missed some but it should be a great show gonna have a lap total tonite but we will either run 35 or 40....... The professor was drivin cleggs car last nite dont know what that means but one of dents crewman told us he was drivin it so we assume thats what he will be in tonite guess we just have to wait and see.... Jerry come to the tower and see me.....
