  • AKA GOODYEAR Challenge Series

    Along with the news of the upcoming tire change, we will also be looking to rename the series. Hmmmmm? The limited late model race at New Smyrna Speedway on Sept. 13th will be on the new Hoosier tires. Although the date is within the 3 week period the general feeling is to get going with the new tires. I realize most teams purchase tires on raceday and this will shorten the turn around. I will try to get info on practice prior to that date. Thanks to all for your understanding during the change-over.

          Your next race is Sept. 6th at Columbia. Call Becky or Scott (863-698-8429) and they will be able to tell you if you need them for Columbia or not. But they are the best ones to get your answer Mike.

            wasn't Goodyear paying a naming fee to have a FASCAR tour running under their banner?

            i'm not going to bother asking you how you're breaking that contract but i will ask;
            where is the purse money going to come from? or are you just cutting the prize money?

            Goodyear is certainly not going to be putting any more money into the FASCAR kitty for the rest of the year. and if they paid an up front fee at the beginning of the year, you had best be planning on paying back the amortized amount to them or i'm sure there's going to be hell to pay.

            or more hell than you've already got coming, anyway.
