Remembering Jimmy Haynes

Hard to believe it was 31 years ago... Tampa Sprint Car racer Jimmy Haynes passed away from head injuries sustained in a crash at Phoenix International Raceway three days before... He was on his way to a great career that probably would have led to Indy and maybe even NASCAR...
A note to Rick Day, Taylor Andrews & Robert Yoho and the rest of the SSSS group - Please bring back the Jimmy Haynes Memorial race at Showtime this year!

Fact....

Robert's brother Randy , who runs Dade City MX, raced against Jm Haynes back in the day. Haynes was very fast on a motorcycle before he switched to Sprints. Hope Robert brings the race back.

I was looking up the results of the race he was killed in. He is credited with 5th even after crashing, so it must have happened on the last lap?
