  • Welcomes New Marketing/Competition Directors

(08.24.08) FASCAR is pleased to announce the hiring of Joe Lewandoski as Marketing Director for both New Smyrna Speedway and Orlando Speedworld. Lewandsoki brings with him over 20 years experience in Motorsports Marketing including stints with NASCAR and several racing facilities throughout the U.S., most recently, Lake Erie Speedway (PA) and Tri-County (NC) Speedway.

For Lewandoski, working at New Smyrna Speedway has been a goal for some time, and he is looking forward to opening up new opportunities here in Florida for not just himself, but for both venues.

Lewandoski can be reached at New Smyrna Speedway (386.427.4129 ext.306) starting Tuesday August 26th and may also be reached via cell phone (386.547.6030) on Tuesday as well.

The entire FASCAR Family would like to welcome him with open arms and we look forward to him bringing both tracks to another level in the Motorsports Entertainment industry.

Butch Pierce, who has been a familiar face with FASCAR for many years has been promoted to Competition Director for both Orlando Speedworld and New Smyrna Speedway.

Both Pierce and Lewandoski have said that it will be business as usual for the remainder of the 2008 racing season, but have invited any and all questions that anyone may have.

In addition, Kim Brown will take over the position as FASCAR Office Manager, and can be reached at the Speedway (386.427.4129 ext. 307) or via cell phone at 386.547.2879.

We appreciate everyones patience during this transition and are extremely optimistic as to the opportunities that await.

What is Rusty's job at OSW?

Is the job of marketing director the same as a general manager?

Rusty is still the General Manager and Promoter of Orlando SpeedWorld. What would we do without his shoe collection?

But you now have MARKETING! that should make a difference.
Normalcy is a myth. what is perfectly normal for the Cheetah, Becomes absolute chaos for the Antelope.

I've been to Lake Erie Speedway, and it was one impressive place. Not only a very nice facility, but sponsor banners galore, along with each division being sponsored. I think you've got a good man in charge there, and I look for good things from him.

Also, congrats to Kim on her promotion also. Good to see her dedication paying off!

              Congrats

That is great to hear that Butch and Kim got those positions. I think both will go a great job and I look forward to meeting Joe. Looking at his past tracks, especially Erie, I think we should hope for many good things to come out of him joining the team. Orlando and New Smyrna have a lot to offer so lets all hope for the best. No more triple crowns turning into double crowns!!

Been to Lake Erie also. super place.

Keeping a pavement track going in the heart of "DIRT" country is a big feather in Joe's cap. Talk about being lonely in a crowd ......

Palmbayer... weren't we there on the same day, but didn't know it until later?

ARCA race in 2006, Frank Kimmel won, got some great close-up Victory Lane shots... and forgot the camera in the rental car, never to be seen again.

                    But, WOW, what a track!
