Wouldn't it be funny to hear some Florida redneck announcer working the show in French speaking Quebec? You know the kind: a guy that works cattle auctions all week and races on the weekend.

"Its on for third with Renaud on the bottom, Yvon up high and Sylvain looking for racing room!"

Glad you guys had a good night.

Anyone else notice that not just the only FL guy... but the only one from the U.S.!

I grew up wathcing the ACT tour periodically at Seekonk and Thomspon... was always a good show!

although if I remember correctly... Dave Dion #29 was always King of that series every time I saw them!

ACT is still a very good show everywhere they go. Normally they draw between 40 and 50 LMS cars at all their US race. Tom Curley still run that tour & he also operate Thunder Road in Barre, Vermont on Thurday night for local racing. Very, very successfull operation. Without pointing any fingers at anybody, many should take a look at what's being done there and on his tour. They might learn a thing or two.

        Nice day!

Thunder Road runs on THURSDAY nights, only charges $5.00 for adult admission, runs (i think) 3 divisions.... and PACKS both the stands and pits.

Yet here in Fla, only Rusty and Mike Peters have the guts to try Fridays, and NOBODY has the guts to try Sundays, Mid-week shows, or Holidays. Admission is bare-minimum $10.00, ($20 if they throw in Trucks, or a 50 lap Mini-Stock race), and when all else fails... ADD ANOTHER DIVISION!

Up North, the off-nights are among the most successful of each season.

I wish someone would try cutting the admission prices to something affordable, and see if twice as many people come out to play. Although, it would take time for the reputation to spread, that the local stock car races are both entertaining, and very affordable for a family night out.

P.S. - Mario is a born and raised French-Canadian. He came to be a Floridian and an American later on.
