purse and points for late model series?

I am very interested in what the full purse will be for this race. I want to make the trip to see the race this weekend, but also want to make sure there will be enough cars there to make it worth my time.

I am also interested in the format for the point fund. I have herd American Racer has really stepped up with a nice point fund package. It would only make sense to advertise that to attract more cars for the season? I think a lot more cars would have showed at a-dale, had this point fund been heavily advertised.

See you at the track Vince P.

Nice advertisement, but no mention of start time for the 1st feature - any help there would be appreciated!

Vince, here is the only information that I could find on the payouts. It is $100.00 entry fee, probably charging for pit slabs, 4 tire purchase and 5 gallons of fuel purchase. $ 2200.00 to win/ $300.00 to start. I think they are charging for transponder rentals. The entry form is attached and I could not find any other info.

                Info on points fund

Thanks for posting the full purse. Is there any way you can post the details of the American Racer Tire point fund that we have all herd about. If the point fund is attractive, it will also help you draw more cars.

                Thanks Vince P.

Weather doesn't look good for Saturday at Desoto...any idea on a plan if it does rain early on Saturday and doesn't let up?

                    point fund money

Ok, so no one wants to talk about the great point fund, from American Racer, Sunoco Fuels, and Jegs. I am still not sure why they did not advertise any kind of point fund a month before the season to attract more cars? I would have only made sense!

On the lighter side, can you start Dutilly 4 laps down at Desoto this weekend, and offer him a 500 bonus to win from 4 laps down? And every time he gets to the lead, throw a caution, so he can catch up to the tail end. That will bring a bunch of fans. LoL.

Just my two cents, Vince P.

Thanks for the responses on the evenings events, love to see outline of the races and start times in advance, which helps with planning and travel to the races. Wish all tracks would do that if they don't already. Hope there is a fine turn out of fans and drivers!

                          American Racer Points Fund

Ok, lets run some point fund numbers:

This will all be hypothetical thinking,

                          12 races:
Lets use an average of 15 cars per race, which I am hoping is low.
Lets also use and average of 6 tires per race, some teams will buy 8, others just 4 for most of the races, but then 8 when there practice tires wear out. So saying 6 tires per team per race is also on the safe side.

Now lets just say American Racer is going to put 20.00 per tire towards a point fund. Remember the reason for the switch was to save the racer money, and they were willing to give more money for the points fund.

                          15 cars x 6 tires = 90 tires per race.
90 x 12 races = 1080 tires sold for season (this is a low number in my view)
1080 x 20.00 = 21,600 for point fund, just from the tire company.

Sunoco Fuel, and Jegs are probably also putting money toward the point fund?

What I am getting at, had the series advertised anything close to this in December, the car count at A-dale would have been 25-30 cars.

This my friends is what is wrong with racing in Florida. Before the first race, or should I say a month or two before the first race, stuff like this needs to be advertised. So many people bash social media, but when used in the correct fashion, it can be a very good free advertising tool, for things like this.

With a tiny bit of effort this could have been a 30,000 dollar points fund, for the top 10 in points, which in my opinion would have attracted a lot more cars.

                          Vince P.

Better field, $2200 for 100 laps probably wont be
