Ryan Preece to race at Bronson Modified show- from a speed51 article 1/25/16;

"....He said that they also plan to race all five nights at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway during the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car racing,
as well as at a Tour-type Modified show at Florida’s Bronson Speedway just before heading to New Smyrna."


3 other drivers have committed as well according to Bronson facebook- Danny Watts, Dalton Baldwin and Jeremy Gerstner.
This is shaping up to be a show to see- Hey Frasson118 do you have any leads on some others that might make this race?

This is scary shit. Radical behavior like this that is healthy for the sport and fellow tracks is finally coming to the south. I applaud NSS and Bronson for working together for the sport. Maybe 16 will be a good year after all. NASCAR running heats is another huge step in the right direction.

speed51 did a piece on it today- according to the article Jimmy and TJ Zacharias are planning to race.

I believe their son Chris raced it in the memorial race that was held this past summer for his dad at Riverhead Raceway- I could see him running this show in his dads old car.

I know he won a couple of Sportsman features at Bronson last season, in fact I think he won the Sunday afternoon show that you and Rodger came up to.

anybody know how many made the open practice yesterday? only one picture on the facebook page- I believe of Bertuccio?

I can't believe she has not promoted this show here on Karnac, and the facebook page info is minimal at best.
I am hoping for a good turnout but am a little leary of a show with 9 classes running and all I really want to see are the Tour Mods.
You would think she would have 3 maybe 4 support classes and spotlight the Tour Mods- but what do I know about racing I've only been going to the races for about 50 years.... LoL

Biggest crowd I have seen at Bronson in quite a while
The racing was decent but every race was won by the polesitter- not one single pass for the lead all night.
She time trialed every car in every class, then started all the races straight up.

The Tour Mods were awesome to see, but it was a little disappointing that only 5 showed up.
I don't know what happened to the other 4-5 she said on facebook that were coming.

Biggest complaint I heard all night from folks sitting by me and at the concession stand was the advertised start time of 5:00pm.
Apparently nothing was going on at 5:00 and time trials did not start until 6:00.
I didn't get to the track until 7:00 and time trials had just ended- the first race didn't start until 7:30.
Some people got there around 4:30 for the posted start time of 5:00 and waited 3 hours for the first race!

An out-of-state couple staying down in Orlando for Speedweeks told me they drove about 2 hours to see the Tour Mods.
When nothing was happening around 5-5:30 they decided to wait it out rather than drive back- then only 5 Mods took time! LoL
I said "welcome to Bronson Speedway" and told them that's why I didn't get there until 7:00.

It is what it is....
