This will be first time this year stock cars will be at the remodeled Speedway in 2016.
Probably will have 30-40 plus cars next Friday and Saturday.

I am really looking forward to seeing the completion of the massive remodeling project at the speedway. I was last there in July and everything was functional, but now it will also be detailed and complete. It should be a game changer in a sport that needs a make-over to win a new generation of fans.

The radio advertising touts the track as the "world's first racing stadium". I hope the trend toward a more comfortable and sociable fan experience catches on!

This year, I have tickets for the 500. It is not my favorite way to blow a big stack of money, but my son really wanted to go. We won't miss the Rolex 24 either; it is the most fan-friendly event in motorsports, and one of the most fun.

Come on racing season!!
