  • Who will be the 2015 Cup Championship Winner?

Aight, the Cup Championship is down to one race. Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex are the remaining contestants.

Pick one to win the Championship. It can be who you believe will win, or who you want to win, your choice.

Feel free to comment on who you "like", who you "dislike", the reasons why, what NASCAR's latest tricky move will be, etc.

Ah yes, Logano is out, isn't he?

      "Mission accomplished"--Matt Kenseth

Matt didn't actually say that to the press, but I will bet he will be all smiles upon his return this weekend!

I would love to see Gordon win. He has been a class individual his entire career. It would be one of the few times in sports history that a legend has gone out as champion. As an aside, it is pretty cool what NBCSN is doing with the telecast. The main show will be on NBC, but they will do exclusive coverage of the 4 championship contenders with lots of incar coverage on NBCSN.

Agreed. Ned Jarrett also managed it, and he is a class act as well.

I had to look it up, but Jarrett won his last championship in 1965, and retired after 1966.

I stopped watching Nascrap pretty much. I still tune in to Martinsville and Bristol some and maybe the last 20 laps of Daytona and Talladega. But if there's in car I could probably watch the entire race! Thanks

And Now, The Hair Splitting Dept:

"[Ned] Jarrett won his last championship in 1965, and retired after 1966."--Jacko-who-knows-what-Scott-Sharp's-paintjob-looks-like

Ned did indeed win the '65 Champeenship.

"In 1966, Jarrett raced in only 21 of 49 races, achieving eight top ten finishes. When Ford announced that they were withdrawing from NASCAR, Jarrett decided that it was time to retire at the young age of 34. Jarrett is the only driver to retire as the NASCAR champion."--Wikipedia

So, it appears that he quit/retired as reigning Champion before he had a chance to lose the title in '66.

                        Mere semantics...

Jason, I worked the Busch North series as well. Started as jackman, but moved to front tire changer. Can you name the first Busch North race Truex Jr. attempted, the year, and where he finished?

10 years from now, you will look back at that photo and think "Man, I look good compared to that other guy!"

Is it just me, or is the "Kyle Busch" category in the poll continuing to grow after Sunday?

                              Phil Jacques, no doubt...
