  • The Big Question

Because we want to support our racers who usually go to Orlando and New Smyrna on Friday and Saturday and because we have no racing this weekend due to Fay, where do you plan to race this weekend or do you plan to stay home and dry up from the wet stuff????

If you are racing, we want to come see you race if we can get there. Right now I would need a canoe to go but let us know. We want to show our support of our guys wherever you go if there is any track that is racing this weekend. Or we can all get together and have canoe races if the infield of Orlando is flooded like my backyard. But if you are racing, just tell us and we will get there.

I know alot of Orlando's racers come from Palm Bay and Melbourne. To you, I hope you are safe and dry. Please let us know that you are okay and if you need any kind of help. I know I need a door man to help me insulate my front door at the bottom more and maybe a plumber for my front bathroom but we all can do other things besides race and we can help each other when we need help so let us know.

    STAY SAFE GUYS

Would love to go to Desoto because it has been so long since I was there, but waiting to see what happens with weather and if we have the money to go.

Jane, what about you? Is everything OK at your place?

Is there anyone out there affected by storm damage or flooding?

After talking to Rusty he wants to be clear that we want to support the drivers that support us. If you are racing at a different track this weekend, please let us know where. Wherever the majority of you are racing, we will BE THERE!!!!!!!!

I was hoping to support one of the other tracks or at least get some work done on the race car. BUT NOW, I have to put on some waders and pick up palm frawns, sticks, and other yard debris over almost 2 1/2 acres. Oh well, my ducks are loving this.

          Cara,

I have alot of flooding here but so far I am okay. My folks lost power yesterday which meant dad had to go to a oxygen tank for about 5 hours but so far, they have it back again. The sewer has filled up making toilets not work too well. I did have some rain come in under the front door Wednesday early a.m. which went into my florida room and is really wet now. My son saw it but my house faces directly east and the wind and rain was coming directly east and forced it's way in.

Today is no different than yesterday - wind and rain and more wind and rain. My backyard is floating but has a few more inches to come up before it got into the house. Just a mess but thanks for asking.

            Jane,
If you or anyone you know of has to evacuate that needs a place to keep their pets please give us a call. I own a (dry and indoor) pet boarding facility on Hwy 50 in Titusville and we are offering free boarding services(dog, cats, birds, and exotics) to anyone that needs to or has to be evacuated. This also includes any rescure workers.

Yes, they got one two years ago but they lost power again today but at the same time my oldest son was in ER with a possible heart attack. FPL finally got their power back on about 6 hours later but mom was set to take dad to the hospital if his tank ran out before the power came back. Then as I was leaving for the hospital after getting the call about my oldest son, FPL showed up to tell me that I had a live wire down in the backyard and not to go out there. They did cut off the power but I still have the line down in my backyard.

I came home for a few minutes to check on the house and call Danny's work and mom and now I am going back. Not sure yet what is wrong but they are keeping him. This has been one heck of a day so far.

Thank you, I just returned from checking on my house. My house is built on a hill so its high and dry but my barn had a few inches of water in it. The best part is the kids down the street were out with a knee board, rope and a dodge ram pulling each other down the middle of the street in a couple of feet of water. If I didnt have to come back to work, I would have joined them.

Sorry to hear about the problems everyone is going through... Just wanted to let everyone know that if they need some help, god willing, I would be more than happy to lend a hand and help out... I guess being in construction and development all these years has helped out in my understanding and knowledge... Have a great day all and please don't be afraid to give me a call....

The most fun in life is almost always had taking a bad situation and making a good situation out of it.

Nothing beats pulling someone with something while they are on something. Be it a boat and knee board, a truck and a knee board or like we do it up here, A 4-wheeler a, big grassy area and an upside down car hood.

                        dangerous for little ones...

it does sound like fun but i worry about snakes and other animals or reptiles that are displaced due to flooding. ive also seen balls of ants floating in streams at my sons camp... and im sure the water has some pollution due to overflowing septic systems and pesticdes... make sure those kids get a good soapy bath. ;-) we get some breaks. it pours down for awhile then stops for awhile. so the water gets a chance to seap into the ground. been like a monsoon today...lol fay is a witch!

This is the shallow end of my street just leaving the driveway. Behind me wasnt too bad, only a couple of inches.
