  • Governor's Cup Frequency List

The frequency list for the 2015 Governor's Cup this weekend has been posted. Go to http://www.greatlakesfreq.com and click on Specials then the Governor's Cup link to bring up the list. As of now the list will only be available on the website. Hopefully arrangements can be made to have the lists available at the track. The best way to copy the list is to highlight the entire list then click copy or print preview and then click print.

If you are attending the track on Friday or Saturday and pick up any new frequencies please send them to me at greatlakesfreq@yahoo.com. I will get them posted to the list as quickly as possible.

On the list the first frequency listed is the most recently used by the driver. If nothing is heard on Freq #1 then try Freq #2 or searching between 450-470 MHz.

    Enjoy the races this weekend.

What's the best method for a fan to listen in from the stands? Thanks!

To keep things as simple as possible my best suggestion would be to get a scanner along with a headset. Then I would program in the frequencies of your favorite drivers based on the Governor's Cup list and then sit back and enjoy all the radio talk. You might also want to program in the Officials frequency channels. There are many times things happen on the track and by having the "tower" frequencies programmed in you will get an idea of how things are handled during a race.
        Hope that helps a little.
