I like the double file restarts and always have, both when I was racing and now that Im not.But I wouldn't mind if tracks would use the Delaware double file because it never seemed right to completely take away a guys built up lead because a lapped car spun.

One perspective: Why should the leader give up the lead he worked so hard to get?

      Reasonable, to be sure.

But just saw this done at Inverness. While positions 2 & 3 are framming around trying to see who gets the bottom, the leader...checks out. The grandstands are now full of folks furiously punching in random stuff into their "smart" phones out of boredom.

Another issue--Many times the leader is on the low side and someone is trying to pass him on the outside--and may be in front by a nose at the line the lap prior to the yellow. Actually it matters not who is ahead by the nose, when the race is restarted they get a huge advantage.

      Not preferable, IMO.

        2 wide

most cars don't set up for out side. they will drag line back, dive down to bottom most times cause caution. I always set up for outside.
