So, as everyone this side of alive (and probably the other...) knows:
>Kenseth blocked Logano at Kansas. Logano spun him out, and knocked Kenseth out of the chase.
Brian France called it "quintessential nascar" and praised him for his strategy--ie--taking Kenseth out of the Chase.
>Harvick took out half the field at Talladega by "accident" while supposedly trying to get out of the way, and changed the Chase lineup, keeping himself in, of course. Zero penalty.
>Kez then spun Kenseth out at Martinsville, maybe, maybe not due to a broken tie rod.
>Finally, Kenseth walled Logano, the crowd cheered, nascar suspended him for two races, the "appeals" system upheld the penalty.
Two observations:
>I could see it coming five years ago when "have at it boys" was introduced. Run through your little paces and rough each other up, our ratings are down (and wink, wink, nod, nod, we can always bust them--again). Some variation of this has played out several times over the years--it's like Lucy moving the football before Charlie Brown can kick it...
>From time to time, there are complaints about how a local track handled this or that--some probably by myself.
But, IMO, nothing, NOTHING, a local track has done rises to this level of
Poultry Manure
