Some of these late afternoon thunderstorms I've been through lately were probably more severe than the lil' poof comming into town.
But as little as two days ago, the local TV weatherman had to start his rant, whipping those that don't know any better into a fury, delivering his fever-pitched updates every 3 minutes, loosened kneck tie, top of shirt unbuttoned,
sleeves roled up to his elbows, an oval of sweat drenching his back and armpits, cigarette dangling from his mouth and a mug of hot coffee in his hand, telling us that we all need to hunker down.
And it was only a Tropical Storm.
If I don't make it through and perish, I'll see you all on the other side;
the Big Grandstand on the other side.

The biggest threat from this will be Tornadoes in the upper right (northeastern) quadrant... they already have a tornado in Miami-Dade county on Radar...
This may be a light one... but after '04... Can't afford to take any of them lightly!
I'd rather be over prepared (not panicked) and be wrong... than be on the other side of that coin! Been there once... it's not a fun place to be!
we are within a mile of the peace river and not far from the gulf. we are expecting UP TO a foot of water. the water table is saturated. i can only do one load of wash a day or the toilets percolate...(not coffee)... if the river surges we can all be left sitting on our roofs. this will be worse than wind for us. water damage is devastating and unhealthy. so for awhile PLEASE DONT PRAY FOR RAIN! rofllllllll its just getting to us now. expecting rain any minute... you all be safe... much love

We kind-of need the rain to fill up the lakes here in Central Florida.
But, being an irrigation man myself, nobody wants me or my business when
they are ankle deep in water.
PLEASE divert the rain to the Clarks Hill Lake area of SC. That place is looking like a mud puddle instead of a lake.
Our place in Orange Park SHOULD BE dry, I HOPE. If the place in Aiken Floods then Noah will be needed.
Don't do nothing dumb down there and take care.

We could use some here in Beaufort too. My yard even with the recent rains is as dry as a popcorn fart
I have been praying for this rain to get all over mid Fla. and then head up to you people in Ga, SC. and NC. We all in the southeast need rain from something like this. The last few years have been dry for us all.
