I wanted to take a minute and give Denny Meyer at Desoto Speedway a shout out. Last nights modified race was a scheduled 50 lap race since the schedule came out last November. We had 8 cars show up. I talked to Denny before the drivers meeting and he said with the low car count "We are only running 25 laps but I'm still paying the full purse". This IS the sort of thing that will keep people coming back. I've never understood the mentality of penalizing the guys that showed because some chose not too. Car counts were DECENT, not great, but the action on track in the mini stock and street stock class was top notch. See everyone this weekend at New Smyrna.
