There is a solution though.

Run (Late Model) Sportsman, figure out an affordable modified class and a support class or two and run them all every week. Like they did back in the day.

Then simply pay bigger money from time to time for a "big" race and whoever shows...shows.

It worked for decades--until the cars got too expensive and our youth became cell phone junkies.

And don't run a big race without Race Receivers...it's not the 60's anymore...a track looks real cheesie when every re-start has to be lined up by an official on the back stretch because they don't have Race Receivers...OSF

now ur scaring me.. Ur thinking like a old promoter..
Running a full show every week and try to please the old fans and make new ones. not in todays world

A old promoter ( Dan Jones ) told me that no one can win if they run a big late model race on the same night.
The cars must make a choice witch track to go to so the car count will be down and the fans make a choice to stay home because the car count will be down at both shows.
Make a deal with the other tracks on Late model dates or pay the price.
Im sure both of them don't mind spending a little money to prove there the biggest track on the block.....

Again, being a big dog won't put asses in the seats. I'll go watch a full field of Fastrucks as well as SS and MS at Showtime for less money.
