I wished I could have been there myself to see the faces of all the sportsman drivers when they went to the payout window,yu no if yur going to cut the laps of a race and tell the drivers at there meeting what yu are planning to do,but fail to tell them that the purse is being cut till they get to the payout window well that my friends is a Bullshit move on desota's part,and I don't care what class u r racing in, and yu come on here and promote the palace of speed bobby??? It does not make yu look that great neither Mr Diehl promoting a track that uses this procedure,and I didn't have to do it in big blue letters neither,have a great day

I will tell you exactly what happened Bobby, I was at the drivers meeting. I wasn't racing but I was there spotting. The drivers were told that the race was getting cut from 50 laps to 30 laps which is understandable with only 8 actual Sportsman. NOTHING was ever said about the purse. Now, say what you want about Jimmy Cope but last year, when he was calling the shots, the payouts were always guaranteed regardless of the car count. There were 2 nights last year where only 6 modifieds show up, the race got cut from 40 to 25 laps, but we STILL got the FULL PAYOUT. It sucks to say but it seems Desoto is on a downward spiral.

Talked to Race Director yesterday and he said.....

Talked to the Race Director yesterday and he said he was asked during the meeting he was asked and told them yes it would. He went by every Team but the Brooke Storer Team to talk to them and explain. He sorry he missed them. I hope this answers the question about being told before the pay window.... I am not sure what was done in the past. The Tracks have to do what is needed to keep the doors open. Thanks for your concerns. I always try to answer your questions.

Yes, and part of what they "have to do" is keep in good stead with the racers. So they come back. So they have a show.

I believe sometimes Yoho lists "x number of cars needed for y payout, otherwise...".

NSS is also a very nice place to race.

Bobby I was NEVER told about cutting the pay neither were the three teams parked directly next no me. Not here so stir anything up just stating the FACTS. So that make 5 of 8 teams not told.ALL that was mentioned in drivers meeting was LAPS.
