Exciting News from the Southern Pro Am Truck Series
Desoto Speedway and the Southern Pro Am Truck Series have scheduled a Series pro truck race on October 17th, 2015. A Win-Win Note: Pro trucks that race Desoto Speedway’s regular pro truck series races and race the October 17th Southern Pro Am Truck Series pro truck race will still earn points towards their Desoto Speedway’s pro truck series points. The next scheduled Southern Pro Am Truck Series race is at New Smyrna Speedway on September 12th, 2015. The Series has been receiving positive feedback from pro truck drivers for their efforts in working with the Speedway to bring the Pro Trucks back to this high-banked, half-mile paved oval track. FARA has received approval to incorporate the Southern Pro Am Truck Series to their 2015 race schedule and race under the FT-1 Class for the Miami 500, and for any other event throughout the 2016 FARA race schedule.
FARA has invited the Southern Pro Am Truck Series’ Pro Trucks a chance to practice at their next race event on October 2nd, 3rd and 4th for the Race of Champions weekend. Fee is $100.00 for the weekend.
Friday: One hour session only for trucks from 1 PM to 2 PM
Saturday: During the academy advance session (4 Sessions) 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM | 11:30AM - Noon | 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM | 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Sunday: During the academy advance session (3 Sessions) 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM | 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM | 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM
For the Miami 500 Weekend on November 28th and 29th:
Fee for the race weekend: $200.00 with FARA 2016 license included.
Saturday: Practice and Qualifying
Sunday: 15 lap Race at 11:00 AM – Large road course
After the race: 1st, 2nd & 3rd will go directly to Victory Lane for trophy presentation.
