Anyone know these early/mid 80's Sunshine Drivers ??

Hi,

My Dad, Steve Harmon just passed away and I found these photos in his personal box of things. They would have been from Sunshine Speedway in the early to mid 80's. Each one he must have sponsored as his "Harmon's Radiator" is on the cars. I would really like to know any info on these drivers.

The first pic. of the #9 looks like Robert Ray. Not sure though.

The 57 Mini Stock is probably Robbie Powell. It was a team car of sorts to Ringheisen and Miller's Mad Hatter Mufflers Figure Eight cars.

#1 is Robert Ray, #2 is Buddy Dempsey, #3 is Mike Kowliki(Spelling?)
Looking for pictures of mini stocks, any more out there???

Thanks for the info. Do any of these drivers still race? Could I get lucky enough to find one or more of them active on these boards? I'd like to know how well they knew my father. I can't tell you how many times in the past 4 weeks I wished he was here to ask some question that I never thought to ask before he was gone...

I know Buddy hasn't raced in years I used to be good friends with his son Kyle growing up. Robert Ray used to run the Hangover enduro races on Jan 1st at CCMP I don't know if he still does though.

I sent that picture to Kathy Ray, Robert's wife and she said that it was from around 1983-84... One of his first cars and it was totaled not long after the pic was taken... Both Robert and Kathy are still active racers although their efforts this year have been mostly a few enduros... I'm not sure if Robert still has his Modified or not... Kathy's dad was Dave McInnis, one of the top drivers in the State for many years and first winner of the Florida 200 (which became the Governor's Cup)...
