I can save you some trouble and expense Bill. You're proposing exactly the same program that caused OSW to close it's doors a number of times over the past few years. The " we know what works and we don't need input from the racers or the fans" is right out of the official playbook for that track. So if that's all you've got, don't bother because it won't survive.
Listen to suggestions, implement them, and the track might survive.
I really did not see anyone bashing OSW, all I saw was some comments on the past operations and some suggestions were offered to possibly improve things in the future if the track ever does open back up.

Bill, your comment to UREZ2PASS, really was uncalled for, it makes it sound like well if you have not raced here we do not want to hear from you... not a good way to start building OSW's fan base. Also, do not tell people to get over themselves for offering suggestions that you asked for, it reminds me of a track over in Inverness.

What's ironic is Bill has never turned a wheel at OSW. He's a crew member from a car that raced years ago. He spoke to "somebody" on the phone and has now placed "false hope" in the minds of us that actually own race cars and want to race OSW again.

Bill is helping keep the track alive, well, it's memory.

      Be upfront with people Bill.

This is about to get real good,

Bill, who did you talk to on the phone from the track ?

I was just informed that OSW has recently lost another track manager.

Dudes and Dudette, it is all hypothetical.

Katlizy has done more in the real world for that track than anyone I know.

I vote "they" (that is the theoretical part) give her a budget and a baseball bat.

How is the Monte Carlo coming along, ma'am?

It will be called Thursday Night Thunder. Classes Mods, Sportsman, Super Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers for now just to get track back running

Ex, no sir, doesn't look that way.

But questions regarding the precise purse to be paid and who is paying it are still unclear to me...

Nonetheless, am really hoping you are right on this one.

And make no mistake, I will be there if they resume racing, and the Jacalone modified team has indicated they will be there as well.

Life has thrown me another curve. Dad now has stage 4 lung cancer, so I am caring for him. About to come back to Florida .

Monte is good. Had to replace the break lines and the heater core.. Otherwise. She is doing well.

Ms. Kat, am very sorry about your Dad, will be praying for both of you. It is difficult I am sure, but a Blessing that you get to be there for him now...

And in the usual unasked-for-advice dept, put some Monte Carlo SS 15x7" wheels with 235/60 rubber on that thing, along with an early style MC spoiler!

Just painted a fender and a hood for my Son's '85 SS yesterday, so am intimately familiar with the lines of that car.

We are going to... It is a slow process. First derailment was losing mom in dec to cancer... Looks like we will be repeating it this year with dad, so it will take some time.

                            Thanks for the kind words.

Btw. Hub paints cars too so it will get done... Eventually

A quick ps to Katlizy and then we can continue to hope/flog OSW.

Kat, my '98 Mark VIII has a base coat of white/silver, a mid coat (?) that is pearl that you can see through, and then of course a topcoat of clear.

Suggest to Hubby shooting it in OEM (assuming you/y'all like it) off-white and then giving it a coat of the pearl, and then clearing it of course.

It would look near stock (but cooler) and you wouldn't have to deal with the jambs and all that--they would be close enough.

Now, back to the non-racing action.
