You don't need to read past "Hialeah" to know that this will be an added bonus at Showtime Speedway this weekend.

Although I don't specifically remember "Hollywood" as I only got to Hialeah a handful of times, I probably watched him hammer it out with Larry Rogero, Bobby Brack, and others.

Hialeah was a tough joint, at least as tough as the northern venues. You had to be fast and rough on the track to survive there.

The fans were cut of the same cloth. The ladies in the stands always looked like they were more than ready for trouble, while simultaneously being dressed to kill in heels, makeup, and sometimes sequins.

Welcome back Hollywood, glad you get to add to your list of memories and accomplishments. But more than that, this weekend, sir, you will be in a late model! Nuff said.

A report on one of Hollywood's wins:

Mr. Diehl it sounds like you had a busy night in the Karnac article above reporting on Hollywood's win in '07.

I was wondering if the track was going to offer him a senior citizens discount at the back gate or a discount with his AARP card on tires and fuel purchase. I hope Mike realizes that the track won't be taking a bathroom break at half way. I hope he remembers to take his Flomax.

Honestly. It will be great to have Mike back at the track. He's a great guy and has always been great race with. We'll be glad to have him back. Hopefully we'll get our engine back in the car and we will see him at the track tomorrow.

          Good luck Mike
