Top 10 Reasons Why Bonehead had a Bad Night
Although he has avoided going into detail, Rob Elting had a rough night last week in Charlotte County’s 100 SLM race. As a public service, here are some of the things I heard from fans who were there at the race.
1 He couldn’t take his eyes off Cece in the flagstand
2 Bllinded by billowing smoke from his engine
3 Helmet on backwards
4 Rob thought everybody else was running a worn-out, junkyard motor too
5 The push truck took the wind off his spoiler
6 He forgot it is 18436572, not 85612473
7 He was running those 7 lap Goodyear tires from Indy
8 Hypontized by watching the blue and yellow flag wave every lap
9 Rob thought he was leading, so he was just backing off to make it interesting
10 It was past his bed time
