  • NSS - Aluminum Bleachers ???

Just saw on facebook where NSS is taking delivery of some aluminum bleachers to replace the wood bleachers they now have. Question... Will these be in turn one, four or both? Great move for the fans as NSS continues improving. Great to see a track move forward. Hope to see you soon. See ya at the Races !!!

Maybe they can sell the old ones to Three Palms to offset some of the cost? That is after Saturday when they pay SPATS $200 per truck for the 9 Trucks that will show up. The buzzards are circling.

All kidding aside, NSS is the nicest facility in FL and apparently not willing to rest on their laurels. Great job Kim and Mr. Hart!

Given the choice, i'd happily choose a lawn chair or the grass over those wood bleachers from NSS. As i recall, those things were more splinters than bleachers.
Good to see Hart is spending money on the fans.

Aluminum bleachers will be nice! No real complaints about the wood bleachers other than the discomfort and they were always dirty

Great job NSS, that is a big step, those yellow wood bleachers made the place look old and dated. Pave the infield and update the bathrooms and I will never complain again Great step in the right direction again though.

                bittersweet...

Aluminum stands are the bomb, no doubt (& thx NSS!).

Still...when I was little, at Orlando Speedway I think the butt board was a 2x6 and the foot board was a 2x4 and there was more than enough room in between for me to fall to the ground.

Those wood bleachers, sad-a or not, were one of those nostalgic things for me...

But, as long as we have modifieds and sportsman cars I can deal.

Incidentally, Phil's car looks more like a darn nice '64 Chevelle Late model in 1971 or so than the current rocketships do, inside & out.

Hopefully one of the morons that are currently running 3 Cars Speedway will reach out to New Smyrna Speedway and purchase the old bleachers. I think by them doing that it might give the fans & racers hope that they are "all in" and trying to rebuild the track. They came in with a zero tolerance approach with tech and ran quite a few racers off from the get go. Then them not allowing the top three to get photos with their family and fans didn't help either. I like most people I talk to have just givin up of the Haase experiment down here. I really do believe that once the racers see that there is competent ownership-management there. They will come back and support the track.
