Well if your a pickup man you who loves to see the trucks racing door to door for 50 laps, Desoto Speedway was the place to be. We only had 28 trucks sign in, but the night wasn't a total loss. The rains came and went around 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (which makes many racers think hummmm should I go?????). Well I can tell you the ones that did come came with RACING in mind. I felt so bad when two of the top Teams blew motors (even having another CRASH in the oil). Starting the race now with only 26 trucks after the autograph session could prove to be a challenge. BUT HOLD ON!!!! THESE RACERS CAME TO RACE!!!! Holly Shi... the fans on their feet for the start of biggest field in 10 years of RACE TRUCKS!!!!! The drivers took the bit in their teeth and whipped every horse from under their hoods. DOOR to DOOR racing for 18 laps before the 1st caution came out. Restacking the deck saw two and three truck wide racing (at one time four wide) till finally something had to give. Darn it the second yellow came out. Now getting to the half way point in the race saw the drivers tighten their belts and getting ready for the hardest racing by 26 trucks I think I have ever seen. I am so PROUD to be associated with a group of Teams that truly make this a SPORT!!!
The race saw 18 trucks finish on the lead lap and every truck finish the race with all their body parts. This is a warm up for the story of the race so stay tuned for the who did want.

I think only a couple trucks failed to finish, and that was for minor mechanical issues. Good show and I thought the drivers gave each other a lot of respect and give and take.

Should of would of could worked harder. I truly feel like I let you down. All I can do is work harder. And BELIEVE me when I say Matt you will see the passion in BIG BRIGHT post!!!! I will ask as I did this time (all 41 Driver said they were coming to this race) on the next list. Sorry I missed you at the Desoto Fan Media Group meeting in the breezeway (I sat on the left front tire of the Dwarf Car)waiting the whole time (during the JR fan Club session on the track) expecting to meet you (you must love those JR sessions). My loss again. Please keep posting supportive post it's what puts gas in my tank!!!!!
