No, it's the series that's at fault. It wasn't just the points leader who didn't show up. I agree about the points leader not showing up having no influence on the series. Kevin Harvick just not bothering to race at Dover probably wouldn't affect the Cup series at all.

By the way, nice tribute to Joe Harris by New Smyrna and the racers that knew him. Mr. Alan Bruns spoke of him in the driver's meeting very fondly and asked for a moment of silence. He was obviously a great guy and will be missed by many.

          Bright house series

I believe a lot of cars were no show, because NSS pulled the brighthouse series from Desoto. Most of the west coast cars were no show. 13 super lates at NSS for a 100 lap race is pathetic. Still do not understand there logic behind ending the partnership with Desoto on the series?

Its pretty simple, you do it NSS's way or no way. Its a shame. I would've been there but I ended up driving right by and for another 30 minutes to go to Volusia. Over 30 late models and two late models shows in one night. Numerous passes for position and good counts in every division.

It was refreshing to see 70+ cars for a weekly show not associated with speedweeks or the Governors cup. I hope the trend continues.
