6 or 7 of the CCS mini stocks are headed to Auburndale this weekend. I am going to miss the racing in Inverness. Love the asphalt. Free admission at BRP this Friday, but dirt just doesn't do it for me. Hope the Fair Board can find someone who knows how to run and promote the track at CCS. The Big G sure is not that guy.

If you can't make it, I see no sense in him throwing his good money away. I agree he should shut down and let somebody else make a go of it. I sure would.
In reality, tracks closing across this country are a sign of the times and not necessarily related to promotional skills. Some guys thought they could hop on the train and ride it but...it ain't necessarily so....

This is a shame. I've been to Citrus County probably more than any other track in the last ten years, especially when OSW went down the tubes. Hopefully they can get someone else in charge and turn this place around, we need a good pavement track somewhere close to the middle of the state that isn't a motor track.

Last summer, I raced there with the TBARA and the stands were packed. It is a great racing surface too, so I certainly hope it can get back on its feet.

Man, I have mixed emotions looking at those pics. Happy that someone is pumping money into the place to give it it's best shot as a viable racing venue. Sad that the asphalt is going away and that I'll never get to turn another lap at one of my favorite and unique tracks. I guess I'll always have my memories. Here's to the success of the new Tech Raceway in Ellisville!

With the standing room only crowd at BRP and the lines at the concession stands, you'd think the food was free too. Only time I've seen the stands that full there was at a monster truck show. Oh, and the racing was good too..
-JIM-RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.
