    Osmosis

Take an asprin and call me in the morning.
I am not against Desota track one bit (actually, am ok with owners, sorry about the name mistake).
However, IMO (and I am entitled to that), I stand by what I said. The track would be much better off if less people make public announcements that can be turned around to bit them in the butt (and I would imagine you'd agree with that).
I have said all I am going to say about "That Person"...
    "It is what it is".

      Boneman/King Solomon...same guy?.....

      What up, Bonedude.....

You hit the nail on the head, man. Exactly.

"Think people can't change? Consider Richard Childress; who at one time was a struggling independent driver. When he changed his own management style and goals, he put himself on a path that led to the success of racing giant RCR."

This is what I'm talking about! Real life changes! Not just talking about it. Really doing something to alter the outcome of events. Let the people or racers it affects do the cheerleading to each other. Word of mouth from someone who has experienced it is ALWAYS better than the pre-scripted, advertising gimmicks. I DO support DSS and hope for nothing but the best of times for its racers and owner alike. But as a realist and theoretical skeptic, it is pretty dang tough to ignore the real world and past history. Racers and owner/promoters working together for a better tomorrow? EDM had it right. Sounds a lot like a political slogan.

Myself, I've never had a bad experience with John or Camille. I've been witness to a few other's experiences and not understood a lot of his decisions regarding the track but that's neither here nor there. What's done is done and, to quote Cindy, there is no where to go but up for Desoto. It's time to rebuild and start anew. Maybe reinventing himself would be a great thing for John, just as for Childress. People might just see it and be inspired to change themselves and their own pre-conceptions. People like....like....ME for example. Looking South to CCMP, a few short years ago Bobby Diehl was being crucified by a lot of racers for screwing them over and waging war with John S. We read about it all the time here on KARNAC. Now he's leased a track of his own and has built something out of it. Maybe there is a lesson there for others, I don't know. Look how many people hate Don Nerone. I still call him a friend, though. Am I crazy? That was rhetorical, dude.

      But you are right.
DSS (and the sport of auto racing in general) is in need of the cheerleaders, as I call them, who really don't understand the "hands on" side of racing and are content to expound on it's many virtues and don't know/don't care why racers get upset with promoters or vice-versa. People who just enjoy their night at the races as "true fans" sitting blissfully content in the grandstands watching their favorite drivers and cars run around in circles. They are certainly a dying breed here in Florida.

So there. You've turned me around on this issue, Rexall. I can be wrong once in a while. How 'bout that.

For this week anyways. See you at CRA, Thursday night.

        Hey NOTSOBONEYMAN,
Its funny you mentioned that you are feeling more positive today. ME TOO! In my earlier post I ALMOST...... mentioned that if John stopped to fast, Cindy would break her neck. But I thought better of it and deleted it before it was posted. No offense to Cindy, I dont even know her. Just going on what was posted.
Maybe they are turning over a new leaf and hopefully it will work. I would love to race there one day.

Gee Ed, its a good thing you showed so much self-control. You wouldn't want THAT insult getting out. I'll be sure to point you out to John and Cindy when you take your sportsman over to DSS.

Hey Osmo, I guess the Zoloft must have kicked in. Everything is just lollipops and warm puppies for me today.

No thanks. I have to wash my hair.

Sorry, but I stopped listening to that show when I couldn't stomach the host talking about himself more than the racers being interviewed. Why would I want to hear more about him?

I did listen when Rex was the guest host, though. He's an intelligent and extremely knowledgable racer who would be a great permanent addition. He knows quite a bit about ALL kinds of racing. Well, I downloaded it and listened to it later, anyways. And again when my buddy, Sonny Hughes was on I DL'd that show too. Actually, Sonny could have taught ya'll how to spell Ken Kinney's last name the right way. They used to race together.

                          Oops. Silly me.

think ya might want to listen tonight. and yes...i mispelled Kens name... sorry Ken... ;-)
i have to agree... i had a blast with Boneman that night. he is always so much fun and he is really intelligent. shhhhhh he cant afford a newer bigger helmet! one thing... Rob and CeCe give up alot of their personal life to do the show and they do it for nothing more than love of racing... i think most people enjoy them...

(ya need a tiny bit more lollipop ;-) now ya know im playin with ya.. so smile..)

                              AP Wicks

She does a great job for no prior racing experience. She seems to know that the person being interviewed and what they have to say is what's the audience wants to hear. I enjoyed listening to her and that cleavage shot that somebody posted on here wasn't too shabby either. I'm thinking Jack should use her picture in the print ads, actually.

                              Oops. Now I'm being sexist.

                                About CeCe Brooks

you are right. CeCe hasnt been around racing that long but she already has the passion. besides that, she is well known professionally on Kix Country and is used to interviewing people. She is very good at making the guests comfortable and bringing information out of them. after all. we dont want to hear what we already know...lol CeCe has been traveling around to different tracks and talking to lots of people. Because she is so bright she manages to make the show fun and interesting. as for the cleavage... Robs are bigger! rofllllllllllltonight is robs night. ;-)
