    Safety comes FIRST!!!!

Saturday night showed the need for pre-safety check. Racers can some times run out of time, or think someone else (on their Team) completed the job to double nut, or safety wire the weight (lead or something else like a cylinder head that's painted white with your number on it) down tightly. We had a Truck have one of three fall out and get hit by the leader #41 (tearing up the cross member, holed the oil pan, fuel cell and bent the drive shaft...... Then got flipped over the windshield of the 59x and crashed into the nose of the #36 bending an 1 3/4 bar in the front. Which sounds bad enough, but there could of been a real tragedy if it would of hit the driver (could of killed someone). We will have a safety check before every FASTRUCK race (they will get a colored dot on the windshield before going on the track). We were all very lucky this time. Also add Steven King as the 19th pre-entry.

Ballast weight should be in 2x3x6" block form MAXIMUM no matter if it's lead or steel and secured with two 7/16 minimum grade 8 fasteners. There is zero excuse for ballast coming off your race vehicle at all. It shows a severe level of incompetence. Something as large as a cylinder head should never be used as ballast.

It actually happened at the Busch (Xfinity) race this past weekend during practice. It went thru Jamie Dick's windshield and hit him in the helmet. Apparently came off Ross Chastain's car. Thankfully he was ok.

I saw that. Incompetence can happen at any level. Still absolutely zero excuse. I bolted mine directly through the frame rail on the new car I am just finishing up. 2, 1/2" Grade 8 bolts with 1" diameter flat washers on either side and double nylock nuts. Call it overkill if you want, but there is no sense in risking severe or fatal injury to another competitor, safety worker or even someone in the stands should one come off. I don't know about the rules for it there, but here, lead is to be painted white with the car number in black on the block front and back. If any piece of lead comes off a car, you are subject to up to a $1000 fine and disqualification from the event. As I said, it's absolutely inexcusable...

Add two more coming for the season opener!!!!

Add Chase Lovelady and Brad Smith to the list. This could be a record for 2015 if we get everyone there that are trying to make it.

We are at 25 Drivers!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!

Richard Griffis will be there and now we are at 25 Drivers so far. I have several more messages out in hopes to hit 30 trucks. Now that would show how much everyone wants to be organized in a Professional Series. Please check your trucks safety the trucks behind you need to know that nothing falling off.

It's hard to make everyone HAPPY!!!!

The numbers keep going up. Add Eddie Lichtenberger (tentative work conflict), Cole Portelo, Cody Martell, Robby Fisher (tentative because of work schedule), and many messages left....... This makes 29 "Believing in the DREAM"!!!! Thanks!!!!
