    Jacko,

The important thing is to keep "at the drags", "it's a drag", and "in drag" separate!

Open Wheel Modified name change to Pro Modified, Florida Pro Modified or Southeast Pro Modified

We are putting on great shows with professional looking cars, this will help attract more sponsors for the racer and tracks will bring more fans in with the Pro moniker.

We run with windshields, open motors, we have different looks not like what they are doing in the Lucas Modifieds out West.

Would like feedback on this from the Racers, Track Owners and The Fans

You're going to get a lot of blowback from the "less is more" crowd. The ones who want to drag all the classes down to their level of money and expertise. I see someone has already decided that the way to go is use street stock motors.
If you can come up with a group of racers that can afford this type of car, and are willing to race, then i'll be in the stands every time they race. I like the idea of making them close to the nascar mods. That's some of the best racing of the year over at NSS.

some racers drag race down the shoots ,then park in turns. you run them over, they get their spot back ,you to the rear. can pi$$ you off.

You might want to check out 10.5 Outlaw or any of the Drag Radial classes before you say ONLY reason I am pretty sure after watching those guys run 180+ mph in 1/8 mile on a 10.5" or smaller tire, you might have a different thought lol

                agreed

the outlaw is bad a*%. A good friend races one 180 mph in 4.5 seconds............

Mod 8.. this thread isn't bout drag racing.....its about calling us something different......As long as the rules don't change and the car counts keep staying good....the name doesn't matter to me......

I think this is a good idea if you could get enough guys to support it. I remember running and it's been a while so the height could be wrong think we were aloud 10 inch on the back and tall sides on the front noise when I believe FASCAR bought the SARA series. IMO never gave it enough time to catch on. I enjoyed racing modifieds until they spit the class into two classes. I race them for along time remember racing on treaded McCreary's at Orlando when I first started. Good luck and hope it works out I will come and watch if it does.
