  • Danica Patrick Pole!

So, it has been reported that "Go Daddy" will be leaving NASCAR at the end of 2015.

Surely the sponsors will be knocking down her door to...get on the car door.

Who do you think/hope the sponsor will be?

Pick one, pick none, or come up with one of your own!

I thought this was gonna be about Stenhouse, but I guess there would have to be an apostrophe and an s after Patrick.

IMO, Tony should have that girl in a dirt late model somewhere once a week.

No "Hillary" vote from Albee yet...

No, not yet. You don't have very many choices there. Since only 6 people have voted, and three of those votes came from you, the others must not be very motivated.
Now if you had a Sarah Palin for President option, you might get a few more people voting. Of course that sponsorship would only be honored for about half the agreed upon term.
Besides, i'm not convinced Go Daddy is leaving. How dumb would you have to be to walk away from a sponsor tie in with Danica Patrick.

Theoretically, it is supposed to be fun.

As mentioned, you can suggest your own potential sponsor.

Am surprised at your choice of Sarah Palin, but thx for your input.

Yes, i read that too. But the 2015 season is far from over, plenty of time for Go Daddy to change their mind. But you sure couldn't blame them for wanting to get away from the sinking ship that is called nascar.

That sinking ship gave them the visibility and brand awareness they never got from IndyCar and coupled with DP, they became #1 in their field. Companies change strategies often when goals are accomplished.

                          Additionally, corporate power structures change.

If anyone here has been part of a big company, I am fairly certain they have seen things that did not make sense and cost the company money.

NASCAR fans have been shown to actually purchase more of the sponsor's product than through other marketing efforts.

I notice that the only part of the relationship that Go Daddy is planning to drop is the nascar part. They will still have a contract with her. So their strategy only really changed in regard to nascar and what i imagine is a constant increase in money spent to please nascar vs. less fan interest in the series. But of course they're certainly not the first to see diminishing returns in sponsorship of nascar.

Nonetheless, it will never be known what prompted their decision. There has been a CEO change. Some people, in fact a lot of people, are married to their ideology instead of reality, and no amount of facts will change the way they choose to view the world.

"To help realize this vision [of taking Go Daddy to the next level} , [Blake] Irving [New CEO as of 2013] opened up new offices in Seattle and Mountain View, Calif., and is exploring new advertising campaigns that maintain an edge, but are more in line with the evolution of the company."--Rebecca Grant VB News (Underline added)
