So now we have 2 seperate Truck series starting their respective seasons ON THE EXACT SAME DAY???? It's proven difficult to get enough Trucks to make one Series viable. Now we have two. Running on the same day. Why don't the SPATS people get with the FASTRUCK people and form ONE SOLID SERIES? That won't happen. So what your going to wind up with is 8 Trucks at Citrus and 4 Trucks at 3 Palms, 0 Grandstand Speedway. Good grief!

I am not condemning the man, but with his shady history at Charlotte County Speedway, why would you jump on his bandwagon again??

I didn't even know Spats was still around and the citrus race is a Fastruck series race and has nothing to do with Gary.

My post pertained to Bobby Diehl.
I guess people forget the rubber checks and tires given out instead of the promised payouts., etc, etc.

My number is 813-817-7223 call me if there is something you need to tell me. I went bankrupt just as many, many people and Major Corporations (GM coming to mind). When Kevin bought the rights. I paid every penny back to the racers. Now you have been on here scence 3/30/15. Hope this clears up your BS. Have a great day!!!

Just to let everyone know when SPATS came to me in the first of 2014 and ask me to help them. I spent a lot of time telling them what to do (setting up the group of truck team owners at Ambassador Racing). But said you must have a game plan or you need to work with Rick. They meet and Rick must of felt that SPATS had nothing to add for their Series (JCS). We started callinhg last week and talked to Bobby, and Jim. Told all of them lets work together. FASTRUCK vs SPATS, Bobby could be on the Committee, he (Bobby Owens)wanted the NC space frame replacement for GM Metric frame, that the Clunker destroyed and last but not least he would get his DREAM (Bobby Owens)a driving school and Citrus 30 minutes from Hudson. He never call me back (left several massages) that was the first of last week. He never called back call so I guess GAME ON!!!! We tried.

                Beautifully said Bobby.
I'm just wondering if a series consisting of truck bodied street stocks is really going to put anyone in the grandstands. I'd pay to see SLMs with truck bodies, but these just don't get the fans excited. And it's should be obvious that 2 competing series of truck bodied street stocks isn't going to end well.

                  (For Phil & Scott)

I say let them run with the sportsman!

Actually, NOT, but am wondering if the moon pie is not being sliced at least one more way...

I'm sure their tread can withstand my post. Offering an opinion on the tread subject has nothing to do with Hi-Jacking.

Matt, for Punta Gorda the trucks will be the fastest class they will have this year, that may bring fans but they need to promote which I haven't seen other than on their FB page, we are running there since we just got our truck back together and they are paying the same purse and are an hour up the road from us instead of 4, but we'll see how that race is and decide then if we will still run there or not, we have been racing there since 1995, I ran a LLM and later a Pro 4, my son drove our SLMs, Our other track we have supported is Desoto and we ran some Coulter races at Auburndale last year,

I guess you're right, the trucks are the fastest class yet at Punta Gorda. I just wish people would stop dreaming of glory by starting racing series in Florida. Most of these series die a slow, painful death and drag the sport of auto racing down with them. Look at that mess called FUPS ( what a dumb name for a series ).
I'm afraid the Punta Gorda track thinks all there is to promoting is putting the occasional announcement on FB or a message board. I hope everyone that wants to run a truck gets the opportunity to do so, but eventually, i think all of these splinter truck groups are going to end up at Desoto.
