A recent Bobby Diehl post reminded me of some of the efforts that are being made by our asphalt owners and promoters.
They may be a coincidence with thoughts expressed here or just maybe because of one or two of them.
Here are some examples:
>Inverness--Has gone to the effort to gain some sponsorship and is reaching out to Bobby to get more cars on the track, including mothballed late models.
>New Smyrna--For adopting a long lasting tire for several classes.
>Auburndale--For improved tech and race procedures.
>St Pete--For large purses and a general shot in the arm for the west coast racers.
>Bithlo--For trying a drifting/racing combo show, and for inexpensive admission to that event.
NO DOUBT I have missed large efforts here, and I apologize for that.
If you(all) have anything positive that you might like to add regarding additional tracks or additional efforts at the listed tracks, this is as good a time as any to mention them.
And finally, to all promoters and owners, in a day of cell phone junkies and a general redistribution of IQ downward, thank you for your efforts!!
