  • Props to Newsmyrna Speedway

I wanted to do this last week but just got too busy. I have been really impressed by the job Newsmyrna Speedway and it's staff have been doing this year. They have called the races exactly the way they have informed the drivers in the drivers meeting, concerning starts and restarts and calls made during the races. Last night they had weather moving in from the northwest, and they put the rush on the show, racing started at 7:30 prompt and we ran 4 heat races, an Easter egg hunt, which easily had 200 kids hunting, and ran all 4 features and were wrapped up by 9:30. I was paid and headed home at 9:50. I enjoy my time at the track, and hate being rushed to get ready, but with weather threatening, they did a great job.

Newsmyrna has also been giving back to the racers this season, they have given away at least 5 gallons of gas a week, with several weeks also giving away 2 Hoosier racing tires, and this past week also a gift card to Pub 44.

Thanks for giving back to the Racer, there is alot of talk between drivers about how much those things are appreciated.

Newsmyrna is also the cheapest back gate entry in the state, with your Nascar licence entry is always $20.00 and you will never be charged for a pit slab.

The Sportsman class that I race, has been really competitive with 3 different winner in the first 3 weeks, averaging 18.67 cars a week, and tech has been Fair and consistent.

Great job early in the season Newsmyrna
