a)--It isn't a "good one" with strong demographics to market. Quite the opposite, in fact.
b)--It is their "responsibility"? Only if they choose to go there, and even if they do (or have...) there are no guarantees.

Matt, here is something for your consideration: Use the words "here is something for your consideration" or similar when prefacing what you believe to be a "good" idea.

That is, it is one thing to say "Golly, I bet there is untapped sponsorship out there just waiting to invest in Speedyworld. Maybe someone could consider checking into that."
It is another thing entirely to say it is "their responsibility".

Feels entirely different to the other guy, and is a suggestion, rather than a judgment.

In other words, if someone says "is it haircut time?" or "Here is $20, you look like Charles Manson, get that mop cut right now, bum", would you be inclined to take their money?

I wouldn't, and I think odds are fair that Nerone or Yoho would level them.

if you are a racer or racing fan you most likely know or notice the lack of tracks or race cars showing up. If you are a bowler in any area you will notice the lack of bowlers bowling in leagues in centers closing. if you are a golfer, you will notice that there are courses closing and tee times are easy to get. Most people just find something else to do. things are not the same.

The Good News, Brothers and Sistas

The good news is... Sunshine Speedway, er, Showtime, is BACK!

Back from the dead --worse--back from the govt.
And they have great car count, great racing, officiating like the old days...framming and on track "social disagreements" like the old days...

IMO, nothing NOT to like.

Things come, things go, you pick the best venue, and...go.

Recently they had a rain delay mid night. Rather than "waiting it out" or worse yet--calling it, they bumped up the school bus races and dried the track.

That is promoting! That and peeling off the long green, which Robert routinely does.

Nothing will change Matt until the track owners get over the mentality of "open the gates and they will come" no matter how crappy it is.
