I heard $125.00 .......
I heard $125.00 on the tires and the gas is around $10.00 not sure the exact prices, but a Pro Late would fit in the Late Model Level package. It is great to see people looking at getting started in Late Models. Sure would be nice to see 25+ cars regularly. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

After reading another post....
After reading about all the suspensions and banning of certain Drivers for "Rough Driving and Unsportsmanship Conduct Detrimental to our Sport". I did have several of the Drivers say that they aren't racing to tear up the equipment and that issue came up. Let's face it the main problem with the parked cars are not only a level playing field, but getting your car wrecked doesn't go over very well (in these though times for sure). If I were to put together a Series one of the first rules would be the Code of Racing. Rubbing Racing is a term that is always a judgment call. The Series would have the have it's own Director (as several pointed out with their quote "BALLS")that would NOT put up with any over aggressive actions on the track or in the Pits. Remember we are trying to build the "Late Model" Fan base. That way the Track, Teams, and Fans all Win. Again still getting calls of those interested.

Wow!!! The price of a Race Car has down down.....
Got a call from a racer that has a Cope built complete Limited roller (just needs a motor) and some spares $4000.00. Was very competitive. Now that's. affordable. If your interested or have car that your selling let me know. My number 813-817-RACE(7223). We need all the race cars on the race tracks.......

Affordable is a relative term Bobby. $4000 for the roller, plus $5000 or $6000 for an engine, $1000 for a transmission, plus the inevitable small items for another $5000, maybe even need to purchase a trailer to haul it.
It looks as though you're planning on starting up a series. Is it yours? Or is it yours and Gary's?
Actually i'm just curious about the idea of another " series " in Florida. If these cars are now up on blocks, why would a " series " get them off the blocks and onto the tracks? Why wouldn't these guys just race at their local, or their favorite track without your " series " ? What can you offer them that's going to make the difference?
I think back to that ill fated mess called FUPS ( what a dumb name for a series ) and i wonder if it's really the way to get racers back to the track or not.

A better idea would be to find out what cars are closest to what division and find ways to blend them back in. Just my .02... Florida doesn't need more touring series or divisions imo.Originally posted by Matt Albee View PostAffordable is a relative term Bobby. $4000 for the roller, plus $5000 or $6000 for an engine, $1000 for a transmission, plus the inevitable small items for another $5000, maybe even need to purchase a trailer to haul it.

Matt I am starting to understand why people get pissed at you. Go back read all the post. The car for sale has everything from the header bolts out!!! I am just trying to get racing back on track. Phil your right...
Florida doesn't NEED another Series. Unless it gets 30+ cars out of the garage and at the tracks. Again we ran Supers, Limited's, Pro, and any other Late Model all together. It was unreal. Ever type Won and were competitive. The Fans loved it. Today I am BLOWN away on the car counts. Read the post I ask if I can put their names down when we talk. These are cars that are SITTING at home. Do you have one???? Call me I would love to talk with you and your ideas about how to make a difference before it to late. Thanks for you input....Originally posted by Phil Jacques View PostA better idea would be to find out what cars are closest to what division and find ways to blend them back in. Just my .02... Got to talk with another old Friend.
I left a message a few days ago, and when I heard his voice a smile came over my face. Jeremy Gersner ALWAYs gets me laughing. I told him what I was looking at (Answers to why the low car counts in the Late Model divisions, Jeremy was one of my FAST Late Model Series an went to the ASA Touring Series). He said he put his Late Model up on the lift three years ago (it's race ready). Due to the state that Late Model racing gotten to. I asked if he had the $6000.00 shock package? His reply was no, but his Penske package cost him $4000.00. When asked if he would change back to the Pro Shocks to level the playing field. He said Hell yeah. And go to a tire(like we had in the old Series) that would go 3 or 4 races. The racing up North there are Series with hard tires. And they have large car counts. So another cars sitting because of the playing field. Just seems like the smart thing to do....... Remember we all know the counts are not good. And Fans pay to see a Show. Let me know if you have any ideas.....

OK here it goes Matt......
Thanks for being a Fan!!!Originally posted by Matt Albee View PostAffordable is a relative term Bobby. $4000 for the roller, plus $5000 or $6000 for an engine, $1000 for a transmission, plus the inevitable small items for another $5000, maybe even need to purchase a trailer to haul it. I thinks that is answer.
It looks as though you're planning on starting up a series. Is it yours? Or is it yours and Gary's? No I said if I were to. Gary just asked how we got so many Late's at CCMP.

Everyone I talked to told me why(again go back and read the string)Why wouldn't these guys just race at their local, or their favorite track without your " series " ? What can you offer them that's going to make the difference? They are NOT racing because of the reasons they stated earlier.
I think back to that ill fated mess called FUPS ( what a dumb name for a series ) and i wonder if it's really the way to get racers back to the track or not.I hope this answers all your question. Lastly I had a idea of a Fan that reports the races they go to.... YOU WOULD BE PERFECT (I thought the Sebring tickets would of given you and insite, but I didn't know you knew Road Racing too......

Thank you Bobby, everything is crystal clear now.
I'm not the person you want for fan reporter. But that might be a viable idea. You might even want to get fans at random to report on their experiences at the races. Maybe not report so much as analyze. We get race results and reports. You don't want anyone from this site, or any racing site.
Were the ticket prices and concession prices in line? Were the yellow flags too numerous or seemed to take too long? Were the races entertaining, and if not, does that apply to the entire evening or just certain classes? Could you hear the announcer? Were the cars too loud? What was your overall impression of the facility? Were the seats comfortable? Were they easy to get to ( for older folks or fans with disabilities ) and clean? Were the restrooms easy to get to and clean?Did the show end too late? If you're a new fan, would you come again and bring a friend?
In fact, type these up and hand them to 5 or 10 random fans at each track toward or after the final race. Ask them to take a moment and fill them out.
That would be the most valuable info you could get.

Talked ta man that had the FAST Series back in 2010....
I called Alan Burns this morning on the way to work (he's an early riser). We talk about the reasons that the Late Models are parked (he has two that are). Again all the reasons that the others said made scents. Alan owed the FAST Series in 2010 it also had the different types of Late Models similar to the CCMP package of 2007 to 2009). They tried and tuff out the 1st year. The Tracks saw how well they were doing and decided on starting the FLUPS Series. That KILLED their Series. Now the Tracks all have new owner (except for A-Dale, and the FASCAR tracks) and all on their own independent plans (no longer a track association). I asked him if he would like to start another Series. He laughed (I think it's like owning a Track. You don't know until you have one to see all the problems).........So I will keep working on it......
