I was thinking about Rick Bristol's upcoming tournament, and began to wonder......

Top 10 Changes if Golf Tournaments Were Run Like Racing in Florida

10 Neighboring courses would schedule big tournaments on the same day.

9 Golf bags to be inspected for liquor every 3 holes.

8 All of those plaid knee socks would have to be fire rated.

7 The gallery goes wild when angry golfers throw clubs at each other.

6 Sand traps to be filled with used oil dry and old tires.

5 Golfers would have to replace those snazzy white belts every 3 years, even though there is nothing wrong with them.

4 "Spec" putters that are clearly different, depending upon who you are.

3 Club templates.

2 Ball soaking controversy....year after year after year...

1 Each course would require a different brand of golf shoe that is only available from their own pro shop.

Rick's will be a class operation for a worthy cause, so in exchange for being a smart ass, we will sponsor a hole.

all clubs will be impounded until tee time.

at every hole an official will come onto the green and inspect your shoes when your done putting.

Drivers will not be allowed and everyone must tee off using a 7 iron.

The racers would bitch the grass was to slippery
The cadies would go out and try to make the whole bigger
the balls would get smaller and the club would get bigger
The tournament would only let there sponsored golfers win
They would feel sorry for EZ and give him a few free swings
Can you see the whispering announcer at a race.
Can you see a girl on a cart selling beer in the pits
In that game the player is the teq man.


I did go to a golf corse and take 6 stock car racers to play with some pros
lost 2 carts in the lake and got to see a golf cart demo..{told them so)

Whats sad is the crowd in the picture for Golf Cart Drag Racing is bigger than the usual Speedworld crowd!

If Golf Tournaments were run like Florida Racing.....The Greenskeeper would run out into the victory celebration and demand that 3 more holes be played! (sadly the original champion would not be able to participate since they had drank too much champagne and couldn't continue...)
